Biography:
Neonatologist Christoph "Chris" U. Lehmann, M.D. is assistant professor in Pediatrics and Health Information Sciences at the Johns Hopkins University as well as director for Clinical Information Technology for the Johns Hopkins Children's Center. After completing a fellowship in Neonatology at the Johns Hopkins University, he joined the faculty in 1998. (He has been board-certified in Pediatrics since 1995 and Neonatology since 1999.) Lehmann then completed a two-year fellowship in Applied Medical Informatics supported by a grant from the National Library of Medicine.
Lehmann is the education chair for SCOCIT at the American Academy of Pediatrics. He also serves on several AMIA committees. Lehmann is one of the editors of eNeonatal Review and is one of the founders of Dermatlas.
Lehmann's interest and research have focused on issues related to computer assisted medical education as well as improving safety through medical informatics applications. His current work includes the development and evaluation of applications that reduce provider errors.
