Geneticist to Co-Lead $16-Million Research Effort in Rare Inherited Diseases

Johns Hopkins Children’s Center geneticist David Valle, M.D., will direct a four-year, $16 million effort by the National Human Genome Research Institute to uncover new clues about inherited disease. Valle, who is also the director of the Johns Hopkins McKusick-Nathans Institute of Genetic Medicine, will co-lead the research effort with his counterpart at Baylor College of Medicine.
