The numbers are in!
The 20th annual MIX 106.5 Radiothon for the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center has raised more than $750,000 during its four-day marathon broadcast, bringing the total raised to date to more than $12.3 million.
"For 20 years, MIX 106.5 has not only been bringing the world of Hopkins Children’s to listeners, but has raised much-needed money to help us care better for our patients and, ultimately, to help us change the history of medicine,” said Hopkins Children’s Director George Dover, M.D. “The generosity of the listeners and the passion and skills of the staff at MIX 106.5 has made these four days unforgettable for all of us and have brought hope to our patients and their families.”
The numbers were unveiled on Sunday evening, just minutes after the Morning Show team signed off the air following four days of broadcasting live from Hopkins Children’s.
DJs JoJo Girard, Reagan Warfield and Sarah Jacobs presented a check to the Hopkins Children’s leadership and staff during an after-party attended by Hopkins Children’s patients and their families.
