Mentored
QI Projects With Faculty Assistance
Each
resident develops or participates with a group of peers in a quality
improvement project. Supervision is
provided both by faculty from the Division of Patient Safety and Quality and
faculty champions for individual projects.
Many residents have presented their projects at institutional, regional
and national pediatric meetings with the possibility of submitting as a
manuscript for publication.
Faculty
Mentorship for Research Projects
Faculty
are also available for clinical or educational projects that residents develop
or in which they participate. Residents
are supported to present results at regional and national meetings.
Annual Scholarly Achievement Day
The
Annual Scholarly Achievement Day provides a forum for residents to present
scholarly work completed during their residency. Presentations may include quality improvement
projects, published case reports, abstracts presented at regional or national
meetings, or scholarship disseminated through publications. Hopkins faculty attend the session to
support their mentees and also learn more about the interesting scholarship
that the residents are producing.
