Caring for Kids 2012

C4K2011-detail

Our annual Caring for Kids Campaign is back for 2012.

Build your own team with our online fund-raising tool!

All those that register prior to the first day of Radiothon on 2/29/2012 will receive a chance to win an Apple iPad and a Kindle and Kindle Case! Also, the top Caring for Kids fundraising team and individual will be announced on-air by MIX 106.5 FM.

This year, the Caring for Kids campaign is raising funds through a host of activities. This multi-faceted campaign includes an online fund-raising tool where you can seek support from friends and family. The best part about this online campaign is telling your story and creating your own webpage. It also includes our annual Radiothon on Mix 106.5 from Feb. 29 to March 2, a special on WMAR-ABC 2 on March 1 & 2. Gifts from these annual fundraisers pay for items insurance doesn’t cover.

We have been caring for children since 1912 when the children's hospital was founded with a bequest from grieving parents who lost their two sons to rheumatic fever. Philanthropic support is still essential so we can continue to provide the best patient care possible, train the pediatricians of tomorrow and, through research, find better ways to treat and even cure childhood diseases.

Your contributions help pay for computer games that ease the boredom of a long hospital stay or add up to purchase sophisticated medical equipment that saves lives. Hopkins Children’s is the only children’s hospital in Maryland offering ECMO, a lifesaving treatment for children who cannot breathe on their own or whose hearts are not functioning. You help bring lifesaving treatments such as this to Hopkins Children’s. Young patients and generations of children to come will benefit from your generous support.

Help Hopkins Children’s – your local children’s hospital – care for sick or injured children.
