The Privilege of Pediatrics
As a child growing up near Boston, Tim Doran always knew that he wanted to be a pediatrician. In fact, as a high school freshman he wrote a paper about his dream, pointing to his own family physician, who treated him for asthma. “He was a very important person in my life, and what he did appealed to me,” says Doran. “I wanted to do it, I did, and I’ve never looked back.”
