Dr. Jacky M. Jennings is an Associate Professor of  Pediatrics          In the Departments of Pediatrics and Epidemiology and the Associate Director of General Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine.  She is the Director of the Center for Child and Community Health Research (CCHR), a Center focused on translating evidence to program, practice and patient/family-centered care. She also co-directs an NIAID-funded predoctoral training grant (T32).  Her research interests include the social epidemiology of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) including HIV and her funding is from the NIH, CDC and city and state health departments. She works closely with health departments in translating evidence to program and practice and evaluating program interventions.  Her long term goal is to contribute towards translating evidence on the social determinants of STIs/HIV to programs focused on the prevention and control of STIs/HIV among urban, disadvantaged youth.  Dr. Jennings collaborates with colleagues within and outside the Division on a wide array of health outcomes including pelvic inflammatory disease, pediatric obesity, intimate partner violence, cardiology and sickle cell disease.  She also teaches and advises graduate public health and medical school students
