Hopkins Children’s Office of Communications and Public Affairs is made up of a team of seasoned communications professionals. Our Media Relations staff responds to requests from local, national and international media seeking information about Hopkins Children’s. They also produce news releases based on our research findings, patient stories, and events. Our publications team produces Hopkins Children’s magazine, Children’s Center News, Pediatrician, and other materials.  

Information for Media

Reporters, video camera crews, still photographers and other media interested in coming to Hopkins Children’s must first contact a member of the Media Relations team to arrange for an escort. If you’d like to speak with one of our faculty or staff, you must also first contact the Media Relations team to arrange an interview.

After-Hours Calls

Journalists calling outside of regular business hours (M-F, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. ET), should call 410-955-5000 and ask for the on-call media representative.
