Johns Hopkins Children’s Center is the designated Pediatric Trauma and Burn Center for the State of Maryland. We care for and transport trauma patients and their families to The Charlotte R. Bloomberg Children's Center at The Johns Hopkins Hospital.

We now transport patients with heart failure on extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, or ECMO, at hospitals within 200 miles of Johns Hopkins Hospital that do not have a pediatric heart transplant program or a ventricular assistive device program.
The Pediatric Critical Care Transport Team at Hopkins is a safe, efficient resource for transporting pediatric patients with access to numerous specialty services at Hopkins Children's Center, the pediatric Emergency Department, and pediatric ICU. Our pediatric specialty team is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to provide interfacility transports by ground and air, both locally and nationally. Our team consists of highly skilled and trained physicians, registered nurses, respiratory therapists and pediatric skilled EMS.
