Biography:
As an appointed member to the State Council on Child Abuse and Neglect, Dr. Walker consulted on child abuse and neglect with the State’s Attorney’s Offices and Police Departments in both Baltimore City and Baltimore County. Dr. Walker also served as Associate State EMS Medical Director for Pediatrics, the children’s division of the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems. A fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, he published numerous articles on child abuse. Twice a recipient of the Johns Hopkins’ prestigious Alexander Schaffer Award for excellence in clinical teaching, Dr. Walker is a frequent lecturer on the topics of child abuse and pediatric emergency medicine.
