Biography:
Niranjan Bhat is an assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Hopkins Children's. He obtained a bachelor's degree from Harvard University and his medical degree from Vanderbilt University. He completed a residency in Pediatrics at the University of Washington, Seattle. Afterwards, he joined the Epidemic Intelligence Service at CDC, Atlanta, serving as an officer within the Influenza Branch. Most recently, Bhat completed a clinical fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Hopkins Children's.
At Johns Hopkins, his research interests are in the pathogenesis, epidemiology, diagnosis, and prevention of respiratory viral infections in children.His research is based in the Center for American Indian Health at the Johns Hopkins School Bloomberg School of Public Health.
