Biography:
Neonatologist Jenny Yu is interested in developmental processes that render the immature brain vulnerable to hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy and neonatal seizures. Focusing on the role of epigenetics in the cellular and molecular pathophysiology of these disorders, she is investigating age-dependent differences in these processes as a means to develop new therapies for disorders of the infant brain. Recently, Dr. Yu was selected by the American Epilepsy Society as one of the Young Investigator Travel Awardees for 2011.
