Throughout his career, M. Douglas Baker, M.D., has been recognized as a leader in the field of pediatric emergency medicine, and internationally for his research on the management of fever in infants. He has held leadership roles in the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Ambulatory Pediatric Association, among other organizations, and has received numerous awards for teaching and service excellence. Previously, Dr. Baker served as director of medical services and chief of pediatric emergency medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, and as chief of pediatric emergency medicine at Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital.
